Happy Halloween

In other cities hospitals x-ray candies, just in case a crazy person has put razor blades in them. We don't worry about people like that in Kodiak. But here is an excerpt form the local paper:

" Halloween’s a night of scares, but downtown businesses and police are hoping this year’s frights won’t involve bears.

Both groups are asking trick-or-treaters to stick to the annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat beginning at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon.

The Kodiak Interagency Bear Safety Group is advising that if kids do go out on city streets, they should start their rounds as early as possible and finish before 8 p.m.

Candy seekers should have fun in groups and always make noise.
Each trick-or-treater should carry a flashlight, and each group should have an air horn to make extra noise.

Anyone who spots a bear should alert others that it is there, walk away from it and call the Kodiak Police Department at 486-8000 to report its location."
